See one of Asia’s most fabled towns in a compact timeframe, enjoying comfortable accommodation, some interesting touring, and ample free time to get to know this unique, World Heritage-listed destination.
Day 1: Begin your exploration of Luang Prabang with visits to some of its most beautiful temples. Take part in a fun Lao cookery class and feast on your creations.
Day 2: Visit the Royal Palace and take a short boat trip along the Mekong to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Enjoy a visit to a riverside village to sample the local rice wine. At sunset, climb the short distance to the top of Mount Phou Si for superb views.
Day 3: Rise early to see robed Buddhist monks collecting alms followed by a trip to the Arts and Ethnology centre whilst en route to Kuang Si waterfall for a swim. On the return trip visit a H’mong hilltribe village and gain an insight into the lifestyle of one of the most significant ethnic minorities in Indochina.
Day 4: Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your onward flight.
Inclusions: 3 nights accommodation with breakfast daily and 1 dinner, private touring, all transport, entrance fees, local English-speaking guide, arrival transfer on tour start date and departure transfer on any day.
