Experience a relaxing boat trip through one of the most beautiful regions of Laos. Cruise the mighty Mekong in style on board a purpose-built cruise boat with plenty of space to absorb the spectacular scenery of the Golden Triangle. The Kamu Lodge comprises smart, tent-style accommodation in gorgeous natural surrounds with the opportunity to try various local ‘Kamu’ activities.

Day 1: Depart Luang Prabang in the morning. At the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers you will visit the famous Pak Ou caves, filled with thousands of Buddha effigies following centuries old traditions. Continue to Kamu Lodge in time for lunch, then try your hand at some local activities.

Day 2: Depart Kamu Lodge then stop at a local village to observe how rice wine is made. Before reaching the small riverside town of Pakbeng you will stop at your accommodation for the evening - Luang Say Lodge on the banks of the river.

Day 3: Depart Luang Say Lodge and spend the day gliding upstream on the Mekong, taking in the amazing jungle scenery and village life before ending the tour in Huay Xai.

Inclusions: 3 day cruise including stops with Englishspeaking escort, 2 nights accommodation at Luang Say and Kamu Lodges, breakfast, 3 lunches, 2 dinners, entrance fees.

Notes: This is a ‘join-in’ tour, which means that there will likely be other people on the tour with you. This service also operates in the reverse direction: Mon, Thurs & Fri from 1 Nov 08 to 30 Apr 09 and 1-31 Oct 09, Sun. from 1 Nov 08 to 30 Apr 09 and 1-31 Oct 09.
