This unique property consists of four separate buildings, each located in the very centre of town on the Mekong River. Each of the buildings dates to colonial times and has been carefully restored according to strict UNESCO guidelines. Rooms are compact yet comfortable, and are simply-fitted with dark wood and bamboo furniture, and wooden floorboards. No two rooms are the same, each having its own particular feel and style. Rooms do not have television, IDD telephone or mini-bar; however, these amenities are hardly missed in atmospheric Luang Prabang. Given the variance in room types at Sala Prabang we prefer to describe this property as a ‘lodge’ rather than as a hotel. The open-air restaurant on the riverbank is the perfect place to listen to the sound of temple bells in the morning.
Facilities: 38 rooms across four separate buildings, air-conditioning, library, internet access, restaurant/café, safe at reception.
Traveller’s View: A small, simple, yet very charming property right in the heart of enchanting Luang Prabang.
Price per person per night Most hotels in Asia allow 1 child under the age of 12 to share existing
bedding with 2 adults. Children may be charged for breakfast. Please note
that if you require a separate bed for the child, triple rooms must be
booked. Bookings of 3 nights accommodation or less will
incur a booking fee. If hotel has a bonus free night, breakfast will be
charged on free night.
